A life of corrosion

I am being eaten alive,

Of the body, as well as the mind,

My life doing something I don’t like,

How do I move forward from here?

I guess I have to take a risk,

Turn my hand to anything,

That brings me much more joy,

This my plan, this is my ploy,

Nothing’s going to change,

By remaining in one place,

Nothing’s going change in the way it ought to,

Everything will just get stale,

So I have to go beyond the pail,

Strike out and start a new life,

For the benefit of me and my family

This is what I know to be right.
