They say I am a nobody
They say my life’s a waste
They say that I am good for nothing
And that I am just a waste of space
They say I am nothing and nobody
They say I won’t amount to anything at all
They say my poetry don’t appeal at all
And if I think it is, then I am a fool
And the fact is I show weakness because I am spiritual
They say I am nothing and I am nobody
They say I am delusional
They say I am nothing and I am nobody
Who failed to do well at school
But I don’t care what they have to say
I am nobody’s fool
And my strength comes from being spiritual
And stand up to all
And say I am nothing and I am nobody
But I am still more than than those that give me abuse
And though I am nothing and I am nobody
Authentically I am true
To what I believe in
To what who I am
And as long as I keep that self belief
I am the nothing and nobody
Who created something new from the ashes of nothing.
