Maybe I had a pampered childhood

But my parents had no money

Yet taught me how to be good

They did their very best for me

And I appreciated the fact

They taught me right from wrong

And no matter how much money I may lack

It doesn’t give you reason to steal it from anyone

And money won’t by happiness

And that I can still have fun

And this I learnt to do creatively

Without hurting anyone

And this is down to a good father

And a very loving mum.
