I thought I knew love
I believed I knew what it involved,
I thought I’d felt as good as it could ever get
Then I met you.
You are so deep
And so complex,
You are so many levels
You are the best.
I thought love was easy,
I thought I was in control,
Thought I could take it or leave it,
Thought I could just let go,
Then I met you.
I felt instant attachment
I was caught up by you,
I was stuck in your web
Held in place by glue.
I thought I knew what love was
And it all about lust,
All about eye contact
When I finally thrust,
Then I met you.
You held my gaze
Never blinked or seem phased,
You held my attention
You put me in my place,
When I met you,
Now I love you,
In a way I never knew,
It’s left my head spinning,
Its left me so confused
But the fact is that I love you,
And I am totally attached in truth.
