So much pressure
And expectation,
So much judgement
And domestication,
Told to look good
And look certain ways,
Told to be rich and famous
Be part of the craze,
To seem beautiful as defined by the media
Not to clever, it’s not a prerequisite.
Is it any wonder why
Within our society,
Don’t always thrive
All this pressure
And expectations,
Makes them feel failures in a system
That only focuses on success,
As defined by the TV and the media press.
No wonder kids and people suffer damage
From poor mental health,
When they don’t achieve fame or success.
