I gotta getaway,

From this judgemental place,

I gotta break free of this place,

That’s fuelled by so much hate,

I gotta, just gotta getaway,

From all of the xenophobic, rascist hate,

I gotta break free of this place,

Where people wanna just discriminate,

Based on colour of skin

Or ethnic origin,

Never mind we treated them as slaves in the beginning,

Never mind that we are bombing their homes,

Where else are the supposed to go?

I gotta getaway,

I gotta, just gotta getaway,

Because I can’t be listening to what people say,

‘I am not rascist in anyway but send these refugees away’,

I gotta getaway,

I gotta break free of this place,

I gotta, just gotta getaway,

Because our societies become depraved,

We used to help and welcome people back in the day,

I was proud to say,

That we are multicultural in every way,

Now I just gotta getaway,

Because now this place is a breeding ground of hate,

All foreigners to be banished from our shores,

Then in isolation shut and lock the doors,

Turn our backs on the rest of the world

That don’t benefit us,

We’ve become that selfish,

I gotta getaway,

I gotta break free from this place,

I gotta, just gotta getaway,

Because I don’t recognise this place,

I feel it’s a disgrace,

Helping those in need used to be our way,

Now it’s becoming a right wing, fascist state

And this is nothing to be proud of in any kind of way,

So I am gonna have to getaway or change this place,

I Gotta, just gotta get away

Or make a change.
