Countless deaths

I see the countless

Senseless deaths,

Of other species

Everyday,

Pride lions,

Ancient Rhinos,

Elephants being displayed

Like trophies,

By these men and women

Who lack enough compassion

To even care,

I see these great wild beasts

Silent now and still

And I ponder on the fact,

That they were not

Killed because of risk,

They were not Killed

Because they were a danger,

They were killed because

Some people are sick,

We have invaded their habitat

And leaving them

Nowhere else to live,

I am sure that creation and nature

Did not mean for life to be lived like this.
