We all have back stories of hardship and pain

But we need to decide to let it cause us to drown,

Or rise up and empower ourselves to beat the negatives down,

We can shine a light,

Even in our darkest hours,

It does not need to be the defining of you

It can be the reflecting truth,

That you are stronger than you know,

More amazing than you believed

And though others may try to instill doubt in you,

Make you feel fear in all you do,

It is them that are weak,

For they feel envy and feel small compared to you

And so they try and bring you down,

In hope you fall

But you don’t have to let them win,

So be the power of positive thinking and believing.
