In a time of dread and fear

Can you enlighten me

Make the dark clouds clear,

Help so a little light can shine through

In rays and shafts of divine brightness,

Giving hope to all those

Striving and battling to make it through each day,

To try to find a spiritual way.

To see a dove of peace appear

And bring hope ever near,

For love and compassion to take over here,

Banashing the dread and fear

And signal a new age of golden times,

Awaken those who up to now have been blind

And show them benevolence which they my find,

A welcome opportunity to make a change

Within themselves and be brave,

To accept they need to do this

And demonstrate the strength,

To make negativity and hate distant.

Through this one break in the clouds

And this one ray and shaft of light,

So much could change

And hope could carry us through if we all stand strong.
