Deconstruction

What it is that breaks you

Is very likely the things that make you,

Because at times you have to break things down,

To build them up stronger and better.

We fear deconstruction,

We fear being seen as vulnerable,

We fear being different

But the truth is breaking out of preset ways,

Breaking out of domestication

Can help you find your voice,

Can help you find your wings,

So that you can soar from under the weight

Of other people’s expectations

That have nothing to do with you,

But allows them to label and box you away neatly,

To live out an unexceptional life

And never achieve the potentiality that is what makes you amazing.
