Extravagant air

She had an extravagant air

Living life without care,

Or that’s how it seemed

And how she was perceived

But she was a woman that maybe cared and loved to much

And longed for a sensitive understanding touch,

She felt so alone and so unloved

Passion was something she could never get enough of,

The facade she exuded was all just a front

And though she seemed so happy

Her life was never fun

Just an endless search for that special one.

  2. Well written poem about searching for love. I like how you emphasised the “darkness” and loneliness of a person to whom love wasn’t repaid in kind. It really brings in the lasting hope of a person, hoping to find a soulmate. 😀 Great post Sergeant Fauxcroft. 😀
