Don’t lecture me on how hard life is

that’s what I said to them,

who tried too lecture me in living

in the way they think I should live my life.

Ok I am broke and luck is no an aquaintence

but I know who I am and what it is I want to be,

so I told them just stop telling me,

about all that you perceive to be,

walk a mile in my shoes and then tell me who

do you think you are,

I have been through so much,

I have endured the hardest times

but I’ve always been good,

and avoided crime,

I have always tried to be kind,

I have always tried to love

I speak and think with my own words

as well as my own mind.

So do not lecture me

because you don’t know who I am,

I am a simple man

living life with a simple plan

and that is to be good

and that is to be kind,

and that is resonate love all the time

and if you don’t like that

that’s just fine by me,

I don’t need your approval see,

because I have my own integrity

and I know that how I live is right for me.
