When examined
Our existence
Here on earth
In this universe
Is more fantastic
More absurd
Than any fairy tale
And yet we take it all
So very seriously
We create what we see
But many don’t believe
We write our own stories
We believe what we’re told
We buy into that
Which we are sold.
My fairy tale
Is a world of love
Of peace and kindness
Of stories such as this
There are not enough
As if people are resistant
To all the above
But maybe it’s because
The are blind to all things
I wonder if like me
Their stories will contain
A fairy tale ending just like me.
As the light in my eyes fade
I lived happily ever after
For I chose to live MY way.
