I shut the door to keep life out

I shut the door and shout

Not at anybody specific

But at the world in which we live in

I shut the door and sit and work on how to breakout

Not from this, my home but from this society

Of ignorance and greed and the me, me, me!

I don’t want to be a reflection of this inhumanity we see

I want to be authentically living in this life free

From the stress, strain and misery

I want to bathe in the light of spirituality

Through prolonged periods of meditation

Dwelling blissfully in my sanctuary

Focused purely on my own concept

Of conscious reality.
