We all die for nations and religions
That would never die for us
We sacrifice our life for leaders
Who hide way safe at the back
We die for greed and territory
In stupid futile political and religious wars
We die at their behest in wars without a cause
Patriotism and being a hero is all a lying game
It’s all just an enticement to get you in the game
And as a veteran see how you are treated by the state
And you will realise soon enough
That your endeavours were a waste
Because they’ll leave with ptsd, poverty and disability
While they’re sitting in their ivory towers that they built on greed
And on the pile of bloodsoaked
Young men’s piled up bodies.
