So few people go throughout life without guilt
So many of us feel the self rebuke
Of tussling with issues that leaves us like this
But with guilt comes forgiveness
And sometimes forgiving ourselves is the hardest bit
But understand there is always some relief
In knowing that while you exist
You can always make ammends
And God they say is all forgiving
Only the church and religions
Will tell you that guilt is for life
And that just isn’t right
You can make a mends and do good deeds
To heal any hurt or pain that you caused
But you have to repent all
And focus on doing right
Not just for a short time
But throughout your life
But we are all flawed
And so we will fail to equal
Our own high standards
Our own expectations
But realistically who will go throughout life without making
Ourselves feel in someway we have let ourselves down
And feel some kind of guilt
And those who do real bad and atrocious things
They will never be free of this until their judgement
In front of their God the highest power of all
But the rest of us can still still hold our heads up and walk tall.
