I’d always choose to share

If I had one last piece of food

And another had nothing at all

I would halve what I had out of kindness and compassion

And others may say I am mad it’s survival of the fittest

But to me that sounds like selfishness and greed

And I’d rather die sharing in an act of unity

Than dying on my own even though I chose just to take care of my own needs

To leave this world enacting out policy of kindness and compassion

Maybe all that’s really required to reach that place of enlightening.
