I have been so ill and now I am on
The journey of recovery and it takes so long
But in time I hope to be back in full flow
And be stronger than I’ve ever known
And once again with words explode
Into multicoloured dreams and imaginings
That I struggle now to sow
Because being ill I know takes all your energy
Reduces our creativity and leaves in so many pieces
But I will piece myself back together
I will fight to heal myself
I will find the light and inspiration
Of which I’ve lost touch
By reconnecting with the love.
