I walk harsh roads
I stand in the face of storms
I withstand hateful words
I resist threats of violence
I refuse to be coeed down
I will not stay down
If beaten to the ground
My resilience is strong
As I stand against wrong
My love keeps me brave
And sends blessings my way
I am nothing more than a man
That has learnt to understand
That the truth can be hard to find
But thanks to an open mind
I grow and develop all the time.
