Here comes the flood
The flood of tears and affection
The flood of real hurt and pain
Resembling the fear of drowning
Imagining the feeling of being pulled down
As though struggling is futile
As you realise only your heads above water
And that it’s inevitable that it will go under
And you can sense that suffocation
As you try to hold your breath
But in the end you can’t hold on any longer
And the flood of water you ingest
Can you picture this yet?
The flood washing powerfully over everything
Washing all that you’ve built away
Washing all your hopes away
So when you see the rain
Prepare for the floods coming your way again
Because its impossible to hold the waves at bay
Be wary of floods coming your way
Keep life dramas at bay
Choose carefully who you let in your life
So that your days sill be always sunny and bright.
