I am lost in my own country

I wonder where my soul belongs

Here I don’t seem undeestood

My thoughts and views barely accepted

Somehow I feel like I am rejected

Cast out and treated as weird

My thoughts on life are often jeered

By people who are so obsessed

By the materialist society in which I live

Where people often take but seldom give

I am lost in my own country

I wonder if there’s another out there for me

One where I would be more understood

One where I would be accepted more

One where they will share friendship and love

A country that is more consciously touched.
