Have you ever witnessed something meritocrious
Beautiful in so many ways
But seemingly without any value
Or like me do you see value in all things
Even if it’s compelled through mediocrity
Even if it seems so bland repeatedly
It would be pure hypocrisy
If I did not accept that there’s value in everything
Including what some may describe as ugly
Meritocracy is hard to understand for me
For in beauty or in what’s perceived as ugly
There is always something amazing to be seen with.
