I went to see the monkey’s

At Monkey World

Sad indictment on society

Mist of the apes in captivity

We’re rescued from harm and laboratories

Saved from exploiters using them in the tourist trade

Or ignorant individuals trying to keep them as pets

They’ve been so abused and been through so much

And their suffering due to the destruction of their habitat

Their rainforest homes are being cut down

Nobody says enough we need to make our voices loud

They shard 98% of our own DNA

Closest thing to humankind today

But they are endagered and it gets worse in everyway

I hope you see this monkeys face and feel do ashamed

That we put them through so much fear and treat them this way.
