You only get what you work for
Nothing ever falls in your lap
And if it does you may not appreciate it
As much as you would if you earned it
its far easier to spurn things
that you don’t value
because it came without effort to you
this is an essential truth
We need to understand that all we do
Adds a large amount of value
To a life well lived in a colourful hue
Of ambition and perseverance
And of courage and fearlessness
Raising us up to greater achievements.
