Angels with dirty faces

Leaving behind, no traces

Dusting up, busting up

Causing quite a scene

Rogues down from heaven

In the name of divinty

Singling out the sinners

Who cause others misery

Those who commit

Appalling atrocities

Murders, rapists, paedophiles as well

Angels with dirty faces

Dragging them all down to hell.

    ‘Angels with dirty faces’ is a marvelous concept! On the one hand, I feel that this is what is needed.On the other, I sense a paradox: vindictiveness on the part of the Divine is a perpetuation of the dirty mess we’re in. At any rate, I enjoyed this poem.
