I bet you think this poem is about me.

I am keeping it real

I am in for the feels

I am the real deal

So best if when meeting me

You should really kneel

Or maybe not

It doesn’t matter one single jot

I am always rooted

I am always down to earth

I never look to cause anyone any hurt

I like to see myself as the salt of the earth

But in reality I am not of much worth

But I know how to show empathy

Kindness and unconditional love

I give my all and hope that’s enough

I allow people freedom

I allow people space

I try to always create a place of peace

And a state of pure grace

You can come, you can go

No pressure, no jealousy

I will always be here for you

Just trust and believe me

I am not egotistical

Even though this poem is about me

Oh hang on maybe I am wrong and simply deluded

I’ve just gone and confused the hell out of me.
