Love is the hardest thing that we can ever do
It maybe soul and heart food,
But it’s often complicated and hard to understand
The comprehension between a woman and a man,
Yet when it’s good it fills our beings with warmth
But when it’s not going well it really does taunt,
Our annoyance and our mind and ingrained beliefs which are staunch,
In all truth love can hurt, leave us cold and crying
Sometimes we wonder if our love we find is dying,
Then suddenly something happens which hits us between the eyes
But what causes love to hurt so much is jealousy and lies,
And our own self doubt and an innate ability to compromise.
