Dark corridors of power
Inside the suits all plan and cower,
Making decisions that shape our lives
In the oak wood settings and finery,
Wilton carpets, the sign of luxury
Far from the bloodstained streets caused by their army,
Cheap members bar where they sip their drinks
The corrupt smell from this place stinks,
Lobbyists in the halls with their brown envelopes
Career progression for these men and women,
After they do the bidding of their corporate clientele,
Passing laws that make peoples lives hell,
Sucking on a big fat cigar, rooms full of smoke
Laughing at the plebs, they all love that joke,
Getting us to dance like puppets on a string
Welcome to the world of government living,
A world of callous decisions and not one fuck given,
This is the lifestyle of those subject to corrupting
These suits won’t do anything for nothing,
But expect us to as they use as their playthings,
Until they get bored and send us off to die in some futile war
One you can bet that is based in greed as it’s cause,
And we’ll be sent off to die for this.
