I speak up
Then I am shut down,
Say what I believe
Then my words are drowned,
As if my opinion doesn’t count,
So why do I bother saying anything,
It’s because I oppose those oppressing me,
I have the right and the freedom of speech
I won’t allow you to silence me,
Try it my friend and you will find
I will get much louder over time,
I won’t be cowed and shouted down
It’s simply because when truth abounds,
And undermines your lies and despicable ways
It exposes you as a total disgrace.
