Star light in ethereal environment
Moon breaking through a cloudy night,
A green haze signifying the aurora borealis
What amazing things we can see looking at the sky at night,
And I wish I could travel into this cosmic void
To see the the further wonders that it holds,
Like far flung planets, nebulae, comets and asteroids
Supernovas exploding into space as it were,
The greatest pyrotechnic display that’s ever been created
And now I hear that the universe in inflating,
But I wonder if there’s something beyond and outside it
I want to discover wormholes and if black holes are portals of travel,
And as I gaze up at the ebony sky
I have a lot of questions, things to which I ask why?
I love laying on the ground at night
Just looking at the ebony sky,
And dreaming of a glorious cosmic life
Drifting away into delight.
