Hold on tight, despite the storm

I listened to the sea roar

As the wind tried to blow me away,

And I saw the storms clouds

As they came at me from the horizon,

And I knew I’d have to stand strong

And I knew I had to stand firm,

If I was to survive standing here today

And I reflect as this is just like life,

Learning to see what’s coming

And strengthening our might,

To be able to withstand what may assail us

And as the rain drove right into my face,

I knew that I’d get through this day

And I know the sun would be waiting,

On the other side of this storm

Bathing me in warmth and light,

I just need to hang on

In the same way that we have to do in life,

And trust and believe

That in the end everything will be alright.

  2. Takes strength to hold onto hope. The storm is an undying analogy for trials and tribulations, and you put it to good use here. Well penned, related to this piece whole-heartedly ⭐️
