Sunday morning waking
The sunlight hurts my eyes,
I look at my bed without you by my side,
And it hurts to know you’ve gone
And it hurts to be alone,
And in this moment my heart aches
As get up and take a walk,
To step outside and look at everything around
The grass lays soft and verdant beautiful on the ground,
And its beauty reminds me of everything you are
And as the warm breezes kisses me,
I wish that it were your lips
And as I heard the birds singing
I wish that it was your voice,
Because it would mean that you were with me,
But instead you’ve gone
And it hurts so bad, and I feel so very sad,
Even on this sunny Sunday morning
In a place of so much bliss,
Without you here by my side, then something is remiss
And that is your love.
