The importance of appreciation

I see the solar eclipse

And see the quantum mix,

In half light and half night

I see in obsidian dreams,

And live life in light beams

The duality of these things,

Interests me and makes me think

We need both sides of life,

Just like the daytime and the night

To appreciate the many things,

Like sadness and being happy

Being angry and being calm,

All these emotions are a necessity of life

And it’s what makes us human,

And that’s alright,

Though at the time we struggle

To understand the reason why,

But it’s like when the rain stops

And we are bathed in the sunshine,

This is why it’s important,

It’s why the universe made life this way,

Teaching us to learn why it’s important to appreciate,

All the aspects of our lives.
