I climb up out of a dark place
Surrounded by endless ebony space,
Looking to find a little light
The radiance may blind my sight,
But I don’t mind because it’s cold down below
I need the warmth you don’t get in the shadows,
I need to feel the hope that it brings
I am tired of this dark depressing place.
