I went to Portland near Weymouth yesterday,
I saw a site which left in dismay,
A prison built under a hill side, that looked intimidating I must say
It’s where the lock perverse paedophiles away,
Now I am not judgemental and I am not mean
But I think it’s the right place for them to be,
In the name of children’s safety
But as bad as it looked from outside,
Apparently inside is like luxury.
Now I know it’s not good losing your freedom,
But have they ever thought about the lives they ruined for those children,
It’s such a deplorable and inexcusable crime,
I think it should always carry with it loss of freedom for life,
You can never make a case for making it seem alright,
And though some may have also been victims at one point in their life,
Don’t excuse what they do in fact they should know more over it’s not right,
It’s terrible to hear of an abused child’s plight,
That’s why I’ll always stand up for them
And always stand up for their rights,
So it’s hard for me to accept these people live a life of luxury
Within side a prison in a place of such natural beauty,
It’s like a stain upon this place
Reprehensible and obscene.
