Inspired by a lack of anything to eat
Motivated by having nothing,
I fought and drove myself on
By writing words that go on like a verse or song,
In a hope to inspire others
In anticipation they will motivate,
These word that have come
From the experience of life
I don’t declare them to be words of wisdom,
I just hope they’ll help someone,
As they come from a mind, that knows hard knocks
That they come from a spirit,
That’s had his fair share of loss,
Yet kept standing, kept on moving forward
And kept going on and on,
Because that is life, it’s one long struggle
And it’s filled with hurt and filled with pain,
But I also know, it’s filled with pleasure
And that it’s also filled with joy and gain,
And if we preserve, we can find happiness again.
