The tension between us is palpable
I can feel it in the air,
It’s not like we don’t really care
Things have just become mundane,
And our lives are full of stress
And sometimes we both feel we being treated as second best,
Maybe things have got stale
And we taking each other for granted,
But that’s no reason that I see for us parting
Maybe we should both try something kind of different,
Maybe we should find something more exciting
Then comeback and share our adventures with one another,
It could be that we both feel somehow smothered,
It could be we need a new interest
Or something more forbidden,
It seems lately that our passions we have hidden,
But we owe to each other and we owe it to ourselves
To try and make this work,
Rather than just give up on it
This love we once shared, it was exquisite,
So let’s work away how to try and fix this.
