Lying and hoodwinking for a living

Do believe anything politicians tell you?

They’re all base deceivers trying to hoodwink the truth,

Or do you believe everything that they say

Believing they are sincere in the most earnest way,

Well from where I stand I believe they are self gratifying

I believe them to all be very self serving,

Talking from lying eyes

Preaching from the pulpit of immorality,

Looking to control and aspiring to become our master

Truth is they’re just corrupt, lying bastards,

So why do we vote for them and give them our support

Just because it is ingrained within us of course,

So why not be your own authority

And live by your own rules,

Surely that’s better than being taken for a fool.

  1. There are lies and then there are lies, lies and more lies which is what it seems to be leaning to. I’m not picky … i’ll take decency. clever poem.. ❤️ Cindy

  2. The fun part…if you take politicians, not for an evil presence but for the kind of animal they are, they aren’t so bad. They’re just like anyone else trying to make a living. Their product has to serve us both for me to buy it, and it generally doesn’t.
