Crumbling global societies

Failing our humanity,

Divided through corruption, war and greed,

Meanwhile people die in abject poverty

Find out they don’t even get their basic needs,

Catered for and others selfishly

Say it’s their fault not societies,

As if they promoted their own deprivation

Solicited their own privation,

Well let me say this without reservation

Globally across all nations,

Inequality causes desperate situations,

Where people end up homeless and starving in the streets,

I ask where is the love and the humanity,

It should be shameful to witness people begging for food to eat,

No shame on them but the global societies,

Who do not do enough to help them

Which is so frustrating and annoying to me,

Because we have, in truth, the ability

To right this wrong but nothings done,

That seems pretty fucked up to me,

So don’t suggest we live in advanced democracies or societies,

For the only ones who benefit from these systems

Are those who are corrupt, selfish or just plain greedy,

Who are cold enough to turn their backs

Upon the vulnerable, poor, and needy.
