Why change is so hard

So many people

Only reflect on what effects them,

Narrow minded inward vision

Oblivious of the issues around them,

Like homelessness and poverty

Or climate change, corruption and greed,

These are things they don’t see

Blind to life’s worse realities,

It’s like ‘I only worry about me’

So they don’t see the failings in society,

Because they have this wholey selfish need,

They could care less about the lack of care, love and equality

Offered by our divided society,

This is why things are hard to change

And our governments love that it’s this way.
