Withstanding the storm

Standing in a monsoon of rain

Howling hurricane winds around me,

Lightening storm flashes around my head

Loud thunder abounding and sounding,

I am on a mountain top, my arms are wide open

Hit me preternatural nature with all that you have got,

Because I’ve had enough, I’ve had my lot

The suffering of life, never seems to stop,

But I have suffered many storms

I am not sure that I can take much more,

But in the full force of this storm

Maybe I can once again be reborn,

Once I find myself in the eye

Peacefulness will then reside,

I am not running, I will not hide

I’ll be born again or I will die,

And when the new dawn comes up

I’ll be exalted or just a corpse,

I will be either forgotten or a burning spiritual force,

When the storm ends and the dawn comes to pass,

We will see at last.
