Nothing is really perfect
Everything is flawed,
If your expectation is that high
You’re going to disappointed more,
And understand, that nothing is ever permanent
It’s not possible for anything to be this way,
Impermanence is a state grace
That we must all come to terms with,
It will take us a very long way,
To stop believing things can last forever
In the most perfect way,
Even sunsets and dawn’s fade each day
Despite such beautiful displays,
Even the most precious diamond has a flaw in some way
So don’t try living in a perfect state,
Thinking life will go on forever
This is an expectancy that is bound to fail,
So do yourself a favour don’t avail
Yourself of this illusion just be happy each day,
And live your life well and make the most of it in every way.
