I walk the streets where the gangsters and thugs roam
They have little love or a place that they call home,
They deal in drugs, stolen goods so they eat
But here is something that I don’t see,
I work hard everyday to earn some money,
Just to pay the rent and have money to go shopping
They think the gangster life is a get rich quick scene,
Whereas working is a form of slavery,
Well guess what at least I won’t end up dead in a gutter
Or die by bullets, having been shot at by some drive by nutter,
And what I do doesn’t feed list souls addictions
I don’t harm people with a weakness affliction,
I do not trade in suffering and misery
I wish I didn’t have to work to make corporations money,
But at least when I get home my conscious is free and clean,
Now maybe you’re offended by me,
I respect the fact that the gangster, thug life is hard
But it’s the choice you make believing from the start ,
That there is easy money to be earned and a way to get rich quickly,
But it is heinous the crimes that you will commit
You need to find other answers to your life
Because being a gangster or thug life just isn’t right,
And saying it’s all you can do is not an argument that’s water tight
When there are people like me working day and night,
To pay the rent and bills and afford enough to eat,
You make the choice to roam the gangster and thug streets.
