When you’re struggling to keep it together
I want you to look within yourself,
When you can’t hear nothing but endless mind chatter,
I want you to sit and breathe and still your mind
Think nothing of the world outside,
Let all thoughts go but stay alert and aware
Offer yourself some much needed self care,
Separate and detatch from the stress of this world
Learn and understand that what we feel demands our attention,
Is in the scheme of things petty and irrelevant,
You see the world is illusory and created by us
So when things get bad, then change it all up,
You have the power, strength and the focus
Now dedicate your thinking to positivity,
Reject the notion of stress being the norm
My friends hold out and weather the storm,
And one day, you and I will together greet a bright new dawn.
