I’ve heard it said that we only live once,

Yet the truth is we should strive to see that we can live every day,

As if each day is a chance of being reborn to inspire and love again,

The truth is we may only die once

And what we acquire in this life can’t be taken to the grave,

Such as in the form of money but it can in the good deeds that we create,

We leave behind stories that define us in positive ways,

Or we can leave a legacy built on violence, bitterness, greed and hate,

The choice is ours, it’s always been, it’s only media lies that says it’s not,

Learning we live in the present moment is something we forgot.
