Somewhere in the ether
There is something missing
Empty is the city
Of great buildings now covered in vegetation
There’s now a river flowing where streets once were
Where once kids played with glee
But now all that there is to see
Is the haunted abandoned moss grown city
There’s an unnatural silence
That resonates around these streets
No more sounds of laughter
Bouncing off the walls
Just empty, haunted memories
As if no one ever existed there at all.
