I sit here watching as life goes by
See a young child as they cry,
Wanted something small that mum afford
She depends on the state for food and board,
Meanwhile a flash Harry gets in his nice car
Seems for him success was written in the stars,
Shuffling by I see a homeless man pass
Sits outside a shop and is not ashamed to ask,
For a little money, a sandwich or a drink
Some stop and oblige, some pass without a blink,
Policeman comes and then moves him a long
Same as they did with busker singing songs,
Tell me what exactly were they doing wrong
It reminds me how the struggling in society stay strong,
And it’s not like they got a choice of they want to survive
I brought that you for that child because I hate seeing them cry,
I brought a sandwich and a drink for the guy down and out,
And dropped a few quid in the buskers hat,
And call harsh or wrong but I pointed out flash Harry’s car
Was parked in a disabled bay and so flash Harry got a ticket,
It annoyed him but he’s rich enough to pay
And he was in the wrong where he parked anyway,
So these are the streets that I choose to observe
This is how help if I can those I know deserve it,
I don’t do it to feel good, info it because their worth it,
.
Because like you and me they’re human and are denied equality
So I sit were balancing up their lives a little bit,
I do it because I know it’s right so I’ll continue here and sit,
And do my only little bit.
