Talent is not just determined by intelligence

Intelligent philosophers

May dwell and ponder on life,

And decide that only the smartest can survive,

With certain gifted skill sets

They would be more ably equipped,

But maybe it’s because I ignorant

I fail to believe any of this,

The will to survive surpasses everything

The determination to see things through,

Logic is not always the strength of academics

This I have found to be true,

Being able to solve problems

Sometimes complex, sometimes not,

Requires a clear understanding

Ensuring shapes fit into the correct slots,

An entrepreneur can have a great idea

Borne from his intelligence,

Yet they may not be able to produce the final product in the end,

So they employ others who can

Because they lack the common sense

To bring to life their dream,

Then they take all the plaudits

But you see in reality,

The entrepreneur needs the worker

The worker needs the entrepreneur,

Like the teacher needs the students and vice versa,

Only a mix of different people

Can see the group survive,

To much of the same set

Will always see the group die,

A mixture of talents however

Will see the group strive,

So why is there not greater equality

Running through people’s lives,

It’s because it’s down to class and corruption by the top set

And it will mean our extinction therefore is ripe.

  1. I’m learning I don’t actually have a lick of talent. Just passion. And I can go back to writing all alone in the dark.
