Who pays, we pay
Just like every other time,
The pandemic bill
Will be ours to pay
And we will be resigned,
But it won’t be the rich
It’ll be the low paid and the poor
Just like every time before,
Paying for the messed up PPE
For the failed track and trace system
That sated Serco’s greed,
The government wasted all that money
Now they instill a pay freeze,
That is actually a pay cut
For the likes of you and me,
Bills keep rising
But wages seldom do,
The public accept this
They haven’t got a clue,
Corporations and pharma’s
Got rich through the pandemic,
Thanks to the corruption
That in the system is systemic,
They use division between the private and the public sector
To act as a distraction while laughing at all of us,
Low paid pay again
The rich get away with it the same,
Just like they did in the financial crash
Where we suffered years of austerity,
Because of the bankers hash
But as we suffered to pay it back,
The bankers increased their cache
Of money while no one was watching
After giving out loans in a way that could be described as rash,
But the rich always prosper
While the low paid struggle to survive,
Welcome to capitalism, which fucks with the working peoples lives.
