The tree and I

A tree stands close to a lakes edge

The lake is still and the branches reflect,

I sit under the tree also reflecting

But in a different way and in a different aspect,

But like the tree I soak up the peace and silence

And consider my roots and where we come from,

Both of us were born from seeds

Both of us need nurturing to grow freely.
